City manager addresses concerns over water

Royse City Herald-Banner

According to Royse City Manager Bill Shipp, a recent posting by local residents on an Internet Web site regarding the Royse City water supply has given rise to concern by other residents.

“Rest assured your water is and has been safe,” Shipp said responding to the concerns.

“The violation issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) was administrative in nature and has been corrected. All samples are and have been well within the parameters established by the State, and sampling has been and continues to be taken as required by TCEQ.

“The required reporting of those results had been overlooked. That administrative oversight has now been corrected. Your water is a quality supply and is safe.”

Shipp said that he can be reached at City Hall if there are any questions or concerns on the matter.
