Parade applications available for RC FourthFest

The City of Royse City will hold it’s 3rd Annual FourthFest Parade and Festivities on Friday. The parade will be led by veterans, the Rockwall County Sheriffs Posse and the Boy Scouts of America. It will begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Royse City.
Everyone is then invited to the old Royse City High School Football Stadium for free hot dogs, activities, live music by The Dirt Road Gypsies, and a professional fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
The National Anthem will be sung by Royse City-based country music singer Brittnee Lee. The city’s Web site has parade application and map. One may call 972-636-5000 for more information.

5:30 p.m. Bicycle decorating judging at First United Methodist Church Family Life Center
6 p.m. Parade Begins
6:45 Dirt Road Gypsies Band begins playing at activities at old Football Stadium
7 p.m. Egg Toss
7:30 p.m. Sack Races
8 p.m. Sweet Bingo
8:30 p.m. Watermelon Eating Contest
9 p.m. Opening Ceremonies at Flag Pole
9:15 p.m. Fireworks Show
Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
No alcoholic beverages are permitted. Food, drinks, games, contests and prizes are free.
