Beatrice Welch
ROYSE CITY — Beatrice Lively Welch, 92, of Royse City died Feb. 18, 2008.
She was born May 21, 1915, in Houston, daughter of Clifford and Georgia (Perkins) Yarborough. Mrs. Welch worked in retail sales in department stores.
She is survived by her son, C.D. Lively and wife Pam of Commerce; granddaughters Lanette Houghton of Commerce, Margie Rose and husband Chris of Greenville and Lynda Scruggs of Kingwood; grandsons Shawn, Eric, and Steven Droddy; great-grandsons Jacob Ray, Alex and Tyler Houghton, and Kyle Scruggs; great-granddaughters Leslie Thompson, Shannon Rose, and Christina Houghton; and a nephew, Charles Joseph of Houston.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Clarence Lively and George Welch; two sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Feb. 21, at Old Concord Baptist Church, FMR 118, Greenville, with Bro. Bill Hazlip and Jim Tomlinson officiating. Interment followed at 3 p.m. in Livelyville Cemetery in Grapeland.
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

‘Nick” Wallace
QUINLAN — Nicholas Don “Nick” Wallace, 22, of Dallas, formerly of Royse City, died Feb. 19, 2008, in Dallas. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Feb. 23, at Goggans Funeral Home in Quinlan with Rev. Les Joslin officiating. Burial followed in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Nick was born June 7, 1985, in Sulphur Springs. He was raised in Quinlan until the age of 7 when he moved to Royse City. He returned to Quinlan later and graduated from Quinlan High School in 2003. Nick worked for Welders Warehouse in Dallas before going to work as a prop set-up man in the entertainment field the last few years. According to his family he enjoyed rollerblading, hunting, fishing, playing basketball and skateboarding.
He was loved and will be missed by his father and stepmother, Billy and Michelle Wallace Jr. of Royse City; mother and stepfather Sherry and Mark Howard of Dallas; two sons, Jalden Wallace of Josephine and Alden Rose of Dallas; grandparents Billy and Bonnie Wallace Sr. of East Tawakoni, Linda Wallace of Quinlan, June Owana of Dallas, Ronnie Hollingshead of Cash, Pam Jones of Rockwall and Peggy and Joe Howard of Rockwall; great-grandmother Opal Dean Allison of Royse City; a brother, Nathan Howard of Dallas; two sisters, Adrianna Wallace of Royse City and Megan Howard of Dallas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were David Morrison, Johnny Wallace, Jimmy Staats, Doyle Duncan, Josh Wallace and Rickey Wallace.
