Vonnie Brown
QUINLAN — Vonnie Wayne Brown, 70, of the Union Valley community died April 14, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. April 25 in the Ingram Funeral Home chapel in Quinlan with Pastor Ronnie Nalls officiating.
Vonnie was born Feb. 21, 1938, in Brady, son of the late Jim and Viola Phillips Brown. At the age of 13, he and his family moved to Brownwood where he graduated from high school. He went on to attend San Angelo State University. He married Jan Harvey in January 2001, and they made their home in Union Valley. Vonnie worked for Texas Instruments for 35 years before retiring in 1996. He was a TI alumni and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brady. Vonnie was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed deer and bird hunting and loved riding motorcycles.
Vonnie loved and will be missed by his wife of Union Valley; sons Arron Brown and wife Crystal and Cade Brown, all of Houston; two daughters, Kellie Lacrosse and husband Justin of Fort Worth and Evonne Pryor of Royse City; a grandddaughter, Channing Terry; and brother Larry Brown and wife Evelyn of New Braunfels.
