Ron Turner



Ron Turner, 59, of Greenville died unexpectedly on July 18, 2008.

He was born April 3, 1949, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Hubert and Ruby (Simpson) Turner. Ron had been a resident of Greenville for five years where he was a computer programmer.

He is survived by sons Robbie and Michael Turner; a daughter, Amy Parks; and sisters Brenda Lee Barnhart, Phyllis Andrews and Loretta Taylor.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael Edward Turner.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel is in charge of arrangements.



Rena Harris



Rena Harris, a lifetime resident of Rockwall, died peacefully July 19, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born Jan. 25, 1944, to Carl and Bonnie (Graem) Smith. Rena was a loving homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by son Scott Harris and wife Anna of Lewisville; a daughter, Annetta Nabors and husband John of Blooming Grove; her mother, Bonnie Graem of Rockwall; sister Carolyn Hill and husband John of Rockwall; a brother, Wayne Smith and wife Debbie of Garland; and grandchildren Jeremy, Jenna, James, Robbie, Alana, Aleisha and Matthew.

Rena was preceded in death by her father, Carl Smith, and husband James Harris.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., July 23, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Duane Crane officiating. Intermentl followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.



Dave Davis



Dale Davis, 66, of Royse City died July 22, 2008.

He was born June 13, 1942, in Rockwall to Orvil Ray and Kathryn Irene (White) Davis. Mr. Davis was in the pharmaceutical sales industry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, as well as fishing, hunting, antique cars, road trips and vacationing in Colorado.

Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Kathryn Davis of Royse City; wife Priscilla Davis of Royse City; two daughters, Shelli Davis of Royse City and Kelli Delozier and husband Brown of Heath; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother Ronnie Davis of Royse City; and a sister, Brenda Sue White of Wolfe City.

His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., July 25, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
