Royse City's boys basketball team will debut in the UIL playoffs at 7:30 Tuesday night vs. Marshall at Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gym.

The winner of the Royse City-Marshall game will play either Prosper or the winner of a play-in game between Frisco Heritage and Frisco Lone Star in the area round, which would take place next weekend.

The Bulldogs (24-7) finished the regular season at home on Tuesday night with a 58-56 overtime victory over Forney, assuring Royse City of its first district championship since 2008.

RCHS completed regular-season play with a 12-2 record in District 15-5A, just ahead of runner-up Forney (11-3).
