The Fourth of July is right around the corner and Royse City is celebrating early with its annual Celebrating Freedom and fireworks show June 28 at 6 p.m. at Royse City High School.
The event will include live music, food vendors, a kids zone and fireworks to end the night.
Country music artist Deryl Dodd is the headliner and takes the stage at 8:20 p.m. The singer, born just down the road in Dallas, is stopping in Royse City as part of his most recent tour.
Southern Ride kicks off the live entertainment for the event, going on stage at 6 p.m. Following them, The Swampadelics go on at 7:10 p.m.
During the performances attendees can grab a bite from the vendors on location or kids can stop by the kid zone.
The event is free to enter and parking is free as well. The music stage will be in the parking areas so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m.
