Keron Jackson, who, following his debut with the Dallas Opera, was hailed by The Dallas Morning News as “A powerhouse bass voice who takes command of the stage,” will be at First Baptist Church (813 Holiday Drive in Fate) at 6 p.m. Jan. 21.
Jackson has performed in The Dallas Opera’s world premier of Jake Heggie’s “Moby Dick” in the role of Daggoo and Joe in the Lyric Stage revival of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II’s “Show Boat” under the direction of New York conductor Jay Dias.
Jackson’s list of accomplishments is long. He has been privileged to share and teach at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Liberty University, Baylor University Bible Conference and East Texas Baptist University.
Jackson reaches out to young people who try to do better even though no one says, “Good job!” He is currently writing his first book titled, “Unlearning What My Parents Taught Me. A Road to Success.”
