One local resident has been indicted on two counts of domestic violence assault, faces the loss of his probation in another assault and has been charged in an alleged sexual assault.

The panel issued the indictments Sept. 13, during the third session of its six-month term of serving up charges for consideration by the 354th District Court.

The panel also issued eight sealed indictments, as the subject(s) named in the documents had yet to be arrested and arraigned on the pending charges. The panel also did not find sufficient evidence to issue an indictment in three cases, during which a “no bill” was issued.

Oscar Cossio, 19, of Royse City received one indictment each for continuous violence against the family and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Cossio was alleged to have struck a male family member with a closed fist on April 24 and again on July 4 and to have threatened a female victim with whom he had a dating relationship in May of this year.

Cossio was also charged Monday afternoon on a separate count of sexual assault, in connection with an incident on May 6, 2019 and had a motion filed to revoke his standing probation on a conviction of assault causing bodily injury from Rockwall County.

Cossio remained in custody Tuesday in the Hunt County Detention Center, where he was being held in lieu of a total of $282,000 bond.

Keri Crawford, 39, of Royse City, was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Crawford was alleged in the indictment to have threatened a male victim, with whom she had a dating relationship, with a knife on May 10.

Hearings on arraignments on the indictments were not immediately scheduled with the 354th District Court.
