The Rockwall County League of United Latin American Citizens is collaborating with First Rockwall United Methodist Church and Light of Hope Immigration Law Center of Plano to host a U.S. citizenship workshop Sept. 28.
The free citizenship workshop includes information regarding the naturalization process, helping those eligible apply for U.S. citizenship by filling out the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Form N-400 application for naturalization and review of the application.
The workshop is from 2-5 p.m. at First Rockwall United Methodist Church, located at 1200 E. Yellow Jacket Ln. in Rockwall.
In addition to the free workshop, Rockwall LULAC is looking for volunteers to help citizenship applicants fill out the N-400 form at the event. Light of Hope Immigration Law Center will supervise those helping fill out applications and is hosting a training event for those interested in volunteering. Those interested in volunteering to help fill out citizenship applications at the workshop can attend the training event Sept. 26 from 6:30-8 p.m. at First Rockwall United Methodist Church.
