The Rockwall County League of United Latin American Citizens is closing out the year with a celebration, coming up next week.
The organization will have its “End of Year Celebration” where they will recall the closing year's accomplishments and present partner awards and the Most Inspiring Member of the Year award. This is the first year the council will award the Most Inspiring Member of the Year Award, Ericka Ledferd, president of the Rockwall County LULAC said.
“The new Rockwall County LULAC administration has decided to highlight our members' high profile qualities and their positive impact in our community, and our local partners whose support is so very much appreciated,” Ledferd told the Herald-Banner. “In the past, the council awarded high profile LULAC supporters who contributed to our local council such as former Sheriff of Dallas County, Guadalupe Valdez, and Texas House of Representatives for House District 103, Rafael Anchía.
In addition to the awards, the LULAC celebration will feature two speakers from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Daniela A. Ruiz and Bora Laçi.
